Lestat. The vampire hero of Anne Rice's enthralling novel is a creature of the darkest and richest imagination. Once an aristrocrat in the heady days of pre-revolutionary France, now a rock star in the demonic, shimmering 1980s, he rushes through the centuries in search of others like him, seeking answer to the mystery of his eternal, terrifying existence. His is a mesmerizing story-passionate, complex, and thrilling.
The Vampire Lestat is the second book in the Vampire Chronicles Series. Though I'm not really excited about the first book, I like this one. I haven't finished reading it yet but I think this book is better than Interview with The Vampire. I'm drawn to this book since Lestat decided to breakaway to Paris, and become a vampire because he was bitten by Magnus. I'm excited to read the rest of his adventure.
