November Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hello fellow readers! We're getting closer to the end of the year. I know November is a great month for most readers, mainly those who live in four season countries. It's cozy season and a perfect time to snuggle under a warm blanket, reading a book while sipping on a hot beverage. WELL, that's not the case with me. First of all, I live in a rainy-dry seasons country. To me November is rainy, wet, and gloomy. Second, I work in the telecommunication industry. For us Christmas and new year is a big event because people tend to use their mobile phone a lot, especially during pandemic where people couldn't meet physically (we're pretty much busy all year during pandemic but even more so during the holiday season). SO, November has been a crazy busy month and I expect December would be the same. During the month, it might seem like I read a lot of books. However, if you look closely, the books I read in November are either part of Penguin's Modern Minis or Vintage Minis (with a book written in my native language). Because I need to feel a sense of accomplishment after finishing a book and reading short books help me to achieve that. Without further ado, here are the books I read in November.

October Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hello fellow readers! Happy Halloween! I don't actually celebrate Halloween but it's nice to participate in the festivities by reading scary books and or watching scary movies. Here's the thing though, I get scared easily. I did watch horror movies but only in the safety of daylight (lol). They're fun to watch, as long as I'll still able to sleep soundly at night. I watched The Witch: A New England Folktale, Us, and In the Tall Grass. I love The Witch and Us. In the Tall Grass upsets me and it's trippy. It made me feel uncomfortable, I don't like it. Oh, I read the novella first before watching the movie of course. I must say, I like the novella much more than the movie. Anyway, here are the books I read in October.

Hi fellow readers! How are you? I won't get tired to say hope you all stay safe and healthy both physically and mentally. I was so excited for August because BTS released a new single which I looove (also, it's my birthday month lol). It's even more fun than Boy with Luv and it's uplifting which means a lot especially in a time like this. My, God! You have no idea how much I love these boys and their music. Anyway, here are the books I read in August.

July Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hi fellow readers! At this point I don't know what to say anymore. I've been working from and staying at 'home' for five months now. I'm trying to be a decent human being here, when the authorities said no going out unless necessary, I don't. I'm at the point where I get sick of Netflix, I play YouTube videos in the background so it doesn't get too quiet. I'm sighing as I type this by the way. At least I still enjoy the act of reading.

June 2020 Wrap-Up & Favorites

June Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hi fellow readers. We're coming in the second half of the year. From what I see the world hasn't gotten better. I just want to survive this year. I think this is my third month of staying at home and working from home. It doesn't even feel like home because I live alone in a different city far from my family. This is unfortunate. I don't even care about being productive anymore. I'm just trying to keep sane here. The last two months, I watched a lot of TV shows as a form of escapism and now I'm getting sick of it. I'm easing myself into reading again. I'm trying to make reading as an activity that I enjoy instead of a chore and I think I'm doing good. Anyway, sorry for my rant. Here are the books I read in the month of June.

May Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hello fellow reader! I can't believe that it's almost half of the year. Lately I feel like all I'm trying to do is just hang in there and escape through literature and movies/ TV series. How are you all doing? Hope you all stay safe and healthy. I think May is the month where I finally set a TBR list and follow through. I managed to read all of the books that I plan to read earlier that I was a bit surprised. I still spent most of my time by watching series though. I got hooked on an old one called Lost which I'm pretty sure most of you already familiar with. I'll explain about it later as it becomes my favorite TV series of the month. As for the books, I read 5 books in total.

April Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hello fellow readers. How have you been doing? safe and healthy I hope. With April passing by, it means I've been staying at home for a month. Moreover, because of Covid-19 in April the government starts to apply large-scale social restrictions in the city that I live in. So I really can't go anywhere outside the house unless it's necessary. People aren't even allowed to go out or into the city. What a time to be alive! Anyway I told you before that there's an O.W.L readathon happening in April in which I participated in. So most of the books I read are for said readathon and I finished all my TBR for the readathon! Here's the list of books I read in April.

Hello fellow readers! How have you all been doing? I know things are not good in the world now. There's a pandemic and almost everyone in the world is staying at home to prevent the spread. I've been working from home since the last week of March. It's even busier than when I work at the office. I didn't read as much as I wanted to but I finally read Ready Player One which was on my TBR for at least two years. Anyway, here's the list of the books that I read in March.

Hello fellow readers, welcome to 2020! This is my first wrap up in 2020. That's exciting. Although this year doesn't start in a good note, what with Australia bushfire, Jakarta flood, and corona virus. I'm currently living in Jakarta. Thankfully, I didn't directly impacted by the flood. I hope everyone's fine and stay safe. However, in term of reading, I read a lot. I finished 7 books. True, some of them are Penguin minis and mangas but those are good stories. So let's jump right in.

December Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hello fellow readers! I know it's late but we've finally come to the end of the year. This will be the last wrap up & favorites for 2019. In December I read quite a lot to catch up on my Goodreads reading challenge. Guess what? I reach my 2019 Goodreads goal! Pumpkinheads is the last book I read in 2019. I also watched quite a lot of movies. Some of them are movies that were nominated in the Academy Award for Best Pictures. My favorites are included in this post. Anyway, here are the books I read in December.
