October Wrap-Up & Favorites

We're almost at the finish line; or we already have (kind of?). I didn't read much in October for a reason. I finally went on a vacation again. Because of the pandemic, we couldn't really travel anywhere unless it's necessary. The only travel I did was from or to my hometown. So when the travel restriction is lifted, I went ahead and planned my vacation. I still read some books though. I also watched some good anime titles. As for the books I read in October, below is the list of them.

Hello fellow readers! I know it's December already and I should have posted this wrap-up months ago. Better late than never (lol). Rather than reading, I watched quite a lot of films in August. Still on my mission to watch all Academy Awards Best Picture nominees. I found three which unexpectedly become my favorite. Anyway, let's get right to the list of books I read in August.

May Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hi fellow readers! It's the beginning of June and I'm trying to post my wrap-up on time. I think I did it this time. In the beginning of May, I took a leave from work for a week (which is a lot for me) because of the Islamic holiday. I also went to my hometown and stayed for a month. Since I was at home, I was hoping to finish some of my TBR that's been sitting on my book shelf for at least 2 years. But it didn't happen because I spent most of my time hanging out with my sister. At least I caught up on my book reviews and I managed to finish 2 books and 2 graphic novels from my TBR so I'd say that May was productive. Anyway, here's the list of books I read in May.

April Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hi fellow readers! In April I participated in magical readathon hosted by G over on YouTube. Because of the readathon, I read more books than I usually did this year which is a good thing. I read books that have been on my TBR list for so long and end up liking them. So without further ado, here's the list of books I read in April.

March Wrap-Up & Favorites

You know, I had plans for March. The first week of March has two public holiday during which I planned on spending the days by baking, reading, and catching up on blog writing. But guess what? I got Covid-19. True, I got two weeks off from work but I wasn't asymptomatic. The first week, all I did was lying in bed and do occasional browsing through my phone because my throat and my head was killing me. I got fever for I don't remember exactly how many days because when I thought my temp has come down, the next hour it rose up again. I live alone far from home so I had to handle it by myself. Not going to lie there were times when I thought of just lying still in bed and stop taking the meds altogether. The second week, I was recovering while trying to catch up on work because I was so far behind. The amount of unread emails on my inbox was terrifying. After two freaking years avoiding the virus, it finally got me.

February Wrap-Up & Favorites
Source: personal collection

Hi fellow readers! I'm late on the game again. I know it's already April but I still want to share what I read & watched in February. In February I watched a lot of Japanese films because of Japanese Film Festival Indonesia. I actually binge-watched those films and end up watching 16 out of 20 films. Almost all of them are good. Only 2 out of 16 are just meh, but even one of them is alright because I like the lead actor. Two films in particular stay with me even after I finished watching it which I mention in February's favorite.

January Wrap-Up & Favorites

Hi fellow readers! I'm late on posting wrap-up reviews again. Honestly, I didn't read much in January because I found new favorite series to binge on. That's what I did. I binge-watched. I was bored and had no motivation to read so I browsed the watchlist on my HBOGo subscription and watched a lot of em. Seriously though, I finished Big Little Lies, Mare of Easttown, a couple episodes of Insecure, and Girls. I'll tell more about it later. Before that, here's the list of books I read in January.

December Wrap-Up & Favorites
Source: personal collection

Hi fellow readers! This post is the last wrap-up post for 2021. I am most definitely not going to post a yearly wrap-up because it's too much work. I just want to take it easy. Anyway, in December I started a new hobby outside of reading and binge-watching series. Hopefully I'll keep doing it consistently because apparently it's so much fun! This December, I finally managed to start the series which has been on my to-be-read list for almost 10 years (lol); the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan. I even finished the first book. Finishing this series would be the first goal that I look forward to accomplishing next year. Here's the list of the books I read in December.
