Becky Brandon thought motherhood would be a breeze and that having a daughter was a dream come true: a shopping friend for life! But it’s trickier than she thought. Two-year-old Minnie has a quite different approach to shopping.Minnie creates havoc everywhere she goes, from Harrods to her own christening. Her favorite word is “Mine!” and she’s even trying to get into eBay! On top of everything else, Becky and Luke are still living with her parents (the deal on house #4 has fallen through), when suddenly there’s a huge financial crisis. With people having to “cut back,” Becky decides to throw a surprise party for Luke to cheer everyone up. But when costs start to spiral out of control, she must decide whether to accept help from an unexpected source—and therefore run the risk of hurting the person she loves.
Becky's daughter, Minnie, had grown up now. Raising a two years old daughter was not as cute and fun as Becky's thought. Like mother like daughter, Minnie had a common interest with her mother, shopping, which means Brandon had to control two shopaholics in his life. Since the country in a financial crisis that time, so EVERYONE had to be so careful in managing their spending, including Becky. Meanwhile, this new small family still live in Becky's parent's house, because when they had decided to buy a new house, apparently the new house had some 'tiny' problem. Then there's Brandon's birthday, Becky really really wanted to make a surprise birthday party for him. With low budget and chances that Brandon knew about the party, Becky challenge Suze and her family whether the party would happen or not.
Just like any other books of shopaholic series, i found that reading this book's fun. I laughed while reading this. The way Becky keeping her secret party was so funny and unpredictable. Such as when she asked Brandon's excellent secretary for help, she didn't realize that their meeting place was near Brandon's office. When Brandon met her halfway to his office, Becky lied that she wanted to do plastic surgery and the clinic's place was near Brandon's office. Brandon was surprised so he said sweet things which ... made Becky (and me) love him even more! hahaha. I want to have a loving husband just like (or maybe even better than) Brandon. :D
